We would like to express our more sincere gratitude to all members from our growing community for making GEIVEX an international reference that promotes and dynamizes the Extracellular Vesicle research in Spain and globally, gathering and sharing our knowledge and friendship since 2012.
We are very happy to announce that the 8th International GEIVEX symposium will be held on 6th-9th of October 2026 in Bilbao, a remarkable cultural and gastronomical city of the north coast of Spain.
GEIVEX is a consolidated non-profit organization aiming to advance personalized medicine by developing new tools and biomarkers with high social impact to generate benefits and equality in global health.
We believe that the combination of basic and clinical research, as in many other fields, is the basis for translational EVs studies leading to future approaches to disease. To achieve productive discussions and maintain the excellent standards of our symposium, we are already working on providing a broad scope sessions covering last technological advances, fundamental knowledge and EV-based applications with high-quality keynote speakers for each session.
Based on the successful previous experiences in Santiago de Compostela and Palma de Mallorca GEIVEX symposium in 2022 and in 2024, we are also planning an Educational Day workshop on the pre-meeting day (October 6th) under the scope “Practical sessions to explore new EV-focus technological advances”. We are aware that this type of activity is highly welcomed by EVs researchers and is a great opportunity for companies to promote state-of-the-art technologies for EV analysis.
In addition, this 8th International Symposium in 2026 will be an important opportunity to create and strengthen partnerships between professionals dedicated to EVs research, both basic and clinical, as well as to meet the renowned speakers.
Bilbao is today an internationally recognized urban landmark because the strength of its avant-garde movement is based on integration and respect for its industrial past.
The chosen venue will be the Auditorium of Bizkaia Aretoa Building with all the facilities for conferences. This building is located in one of the most emblematic areas of Bilbao offering a fantastic and relaxed environment for interaction between attendees and sponsors.
